AUTUMN 2025
Art Slam!
OCTOBER, Saturday 25th, 10.30am to 12.30pm

Who it's for: All art creatives of all abilities - Dragon's Pen Members only
What is an Art Slam? In this case, its a fun, expressive way to create collaborative pieces of artwork. We'll be sitting around a table, with a variety of art materials in the centre and an artboard in front of us. With just minutes on the clock for each pahse, we are given a prompt. At the end of the few minutes, we each pass our board to the person next to us and the timer is on again with another prompt, and so on. We'll have a break in the middle for tea or coffee.
The price for this fun filled morning is just 5€ for members only.
Places are limited to a maximum of 10.

Creative Slam!

Join us for a casual, creative afternoon where stories, poems, and even artwork take the stage. Whether you’d like to share your own piece or simply soak up the atmosphere, this open-mic style evening is all about celebrating imagination.
No judges, no pressure — just a social occasion with a difference, set in the beautiful surroundings of Les Cabosses in Lussat.
Price: 3€ to cover refreshments

Come along to our second monthly Creative group on Zoom!
The idea is that each month we will be given a prompt - it could be a word, a phrase, a picture...and we have a month to create something inspired by it - whether a poem, a story or a piece of artwork. The choice is yours. We then meet again on Zoom at 4pm the first Sunday of each month, to share and chat and at the end of each meeting a new prompt is given.
The Zoom link will be shared in the WhatsApp and Facebook groups nearer the time. These online events are open to members only and free.

Patchwork Quilting Circle for Beginners

Always fancied trying quilting? This new circle is the perfect place to start. Together, we’ll begin by stitching simple daisy patterns, which will gradually come together into a beautiful communal quilt.
No experience needed — just bring your enthusiasm and enjoy learning alongside others in a relaxed, supportive setting.
The aim is to have monthly meetings, in different locations so all Dragon's Pen members have the opportunity to participate in creating this quilt, which will then be auctioned at the end of 2026 to raise money for the Association.
